The US Forest Service Juneau Ranger District reminds the public that all dogs must be on a leash at all times at the following Developed Recreation sites: Auke Village Recreation Area, Auke Village Campground, Lena Beach, and Mendenhall Lake Campground. The leash requirement applies also to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center parking lots and areas surrounding the facilities, in addition to Photo Point and Nugget Falls Trails and the areas between these trails. This requirement specifies physical restrictive control using a leash that is no longer than six feet.
