Crime of the Week
On May 15, at 3:54 p.m., the Juneau Police Department was notified of a purse snatching that occurred on 4th Street in front of the Capital Building. In essence, a female victim was approached by a male wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt. The male suspect forcibly pulled the woman's purse off of her person and fled the area on foot. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Three suspects were identified and described as follows:

1) The suspect that stole the purse was approximately 5'8" tall, wearing a red stocking cap, and a dark colored jacket. 2) The second suspect was approximately 6'0" tall, wearing a dark colored hat and a camo coat. 3) The third suspect was wearing a blue baseball cap and a red hooded sweatshirt.

Individuals with any information are encouraged to contact the Juneau Police Department or Crime Line immediately.
