Dr. Hwang returns to Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital
SITKA - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is pleased to announce that Grace Hwang, MD, has returned to Alaska to join the medical staff at the SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka.

Dr. Hwang worked at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital several years ago, but she spent the last 3 ½ years working in Fargo, N.D. Before her time in North Dakota, Dr. Hwang spent seven years working as a traveling physician all over Alaska. She also has worked in Hawaii, Colorado and Oregon.

A graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Hwang is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Hwang will work as a hospitalist taking care of Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital's inpatient and after-hours emergency patients.

"I am excited to be a part of the SEARHC community again," Dr. Hwang said.

"We are delighted that Dr. Hwang has decided to rejoin our medical staff," said Dr. Marty Grasmeder, SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital Medical Director. "She's a fine physician, and her enthusiasm is contagious."

Dr. Hwang has a special medical interest in obstetrics. She enjoys hiking, traveling, fishing, reading and spending time with her family.
