KETCHIKAN - The comedy "Miss Witherspoon," directed by Keith Smith, will be performed June 20 and 21 at 7:30 pm at the Plaza Black Box theater. Playwright Christopher Durang uses his Miss Witherspoon to beg an essential question: does life get any better after death? Veronica, after committing suicide, is destined to return to earth, reincarnated over and over, learning that the "other side" offers no respite. Navigating through the rough seas of fate and free will (and large objects falling from the sky), she searches for truth and peace, questioning ideas of faith in a "waiting room" between death and rebirth. Miss Witherspoon was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. Call 225-4792 for tickets and info.
