Paper Peace Cranes; Three opportunities to fold large paper peace cranes to be carried in the Fourth of July Parade: 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at the Mendenhall Library; 3-5 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at the Downtown Library; and 1-3 p.m. Sunday, June 18, at Northern Light United Church at 400 W. 11th Street. Jim Brooks Memorial Doubles Marathon and Picnic; Juneau Gun Club at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at Juneau Gun Club located at 0.5 Mile, Montana Creek Road. Non-members are invited to both shoot and attend the picnic in honor of the late Regional Director of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and Commissioner of Alaska's Department of Fish & Game.
