Haines to hold first Bald Eagle Golf Classic tourney
HAINES - The snow has melted. Winter is over. Spring is here. It is time for some serious out-door activity. All golfers are invited to Haines for the firstl Bald Eagle Golf Classic to be held Aug. 4, at the Valley of the Eagles Golf Links in Haines, Alaska. The event is organized by Educational Travel & Tours-Alaska.

The event is primarily a fund raiser for the American Bald Eagle Foundation. At the Golf Celebration Dinner to be held Aug. 4, there will be at least one ABEF volunteer awarded an Honorary Life Membership and receiving a personalized embroidered jacket. At a special ETTA event last year in Haines, the Honorary Life Membership award was presented to Susan Johnston, long time volunteer administrator of ABEF. The fund raising donation to ABEF is $1,000 for an Honorary Life Membership
