Concerts on Campus

University of Alaska Southeast, in collaboration with Juneau Arts and Humanities Council holds free performances by local musicians, poets, actors,and entertainers from 7-8:30 p.m. each Saturday through July 21, at Noyes Pavilion at UAS, located at 11120 Glacier Hwy by Auke Bay. The June 16 performance is by The Treadwell Two.

Concerts in the Park

Free open air concerts at Marine Park (or sheltered concerts at the Assembly Chamber if it rains), from 7-8:30 p.m., Fridays through Aug. 10. The June 15 June performance is by Salsa Borealis and Rumbalaska Dancers. For information, go online to or call 586-ARTS.

Mid-Summer Vocal Festival

Juneau Lyric Opera's 2007 Mid-Summer Vocal Festival is celebrating Music from the Americas with a two-week long vocal festival beginning Monday, June 18, with rehearsals at Northern Light United Church, Dr. Byron McGilvray returns as guest conductor, with Sue Kazama providing the accompaniment. Nancy Watters Concert

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Perserverence Theatre, Nancy Watters and local guest artists will present a concert, "Breath of the Beloved," a musical experience honoring many faiths and cultures. Tickets are $10 at the door. From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Lake Room on the UAS campus, Nancy will conduct an experiential workshop, "Sacred Healing Song_The Magic of Chant."
