Youth Concerto Competition to be held

JUNEAU - Open to young musicians in Southeast Alaska, the Youth Concerto Competition provides an opportunity for budding talent to demonstrate their skills with the winners going on to perform with the Juneau Symphony or the Student Symphony.

The 2009 Youth Concerto Competition will be held at 7 p.m. on June 10 at Northern Light United Church.

This year's participants in the junior division (ages 13 and under) are Finn Sinclair on violin and Alaska's Kit on voice.

In the senior division (ages 14 through junior in high school) will be Carrie Comstock on piano and David Miller on violin.

Admission is free and all are welcome to attend a reception following the competition.
