KETCHIKAN - Ketchikan High School Sernior Albert Pahang is one of two Alaska recipients of the Young Entrepreneur Awards, a scholarship program designed to reward and encourage entrepreneurial talents among high school students. The awards are given by the National Federation of Independent Business Young Entrepreneur Foundation. The other Alaska winner was North Pole High School senior Carlton Eide. Both students will receive $2,000. There were 6,000 applications for 168 awards nationwide.
