Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau has selected Norma P. Adams as the new director of Bartlett's Human Resources Department, effective May 21.
Adams joins Bartlett from Atlanta, Ga., where she was CEO and founder of AHR Consulting, a full-service human resources consulting firm. Prior to that, she served as managing director for Southern Regional Health Care System in Riverdale, Ga.; associate executive director of human resources with Scott and White Health System in Temple, Texas; vice president/chief human resources officer at the Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta.
Her earlier experience includes the position of director of human resources and risk management with the Rio Grande Regional Hospital and Surgery Center in McAllen, Texas; and assistant administrator, human resources at USC University Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif.
Adams received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Houston, and in addition completed coursework in Law at the Bates College of Law, University of Houston, and Masters coursework in Multicultural Studies at the University of Houston. She is certified as a senior professional in human resources and is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management.
