Morning Events at Juneau Community Garden (off Montana Creek Rd)
Songbird banding demo: stop by any time between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. to see birds up close and learn how scientists study them.
Audubon bird walk: meet in the garden parking lot at 8 a.m. to listen for and watch birds around the marsh with local experts.
Afternoon Events at Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, 3-5 p.m.
Arctic Tern viewing: at photo point trail: join biologists for close looks at the amazing travelers nesting nearby.
Tlingit wood carving demonstration: at photo point.
Live raptor visit: at covered pavilion near the MGVC parking lot.
Arctic Tern art competition: materials distributed at events.
