The University of Alaska Southeast and the Southeast Alaska Conservation Council are partnering to host Juneau's first electric vehicle conversion class from June 1-5 at UAS' technical education center. The five day class will cover the basic principles of electric vehicle propulsion systems and get hands-on experience converting an internal combustion vehicle to run on battery power. The class is designed for individuals wanting to take on their own conversions, automotive technology students/teachers and those interested in learning about electric vehicle technology.
