Taking weekend trips down to Washington and the rest of the lower 48 for shopping expeditions is commonplace while living in Alaska. This is exactly what Todd and Jodie Buck did one weekend with the hopes of purchasing a new boat. After unsuccessfully searching Seattle boat dealerships for what they were looking for, Todd and Jodie came to the realization that bringing a new dealership to Juneau was just what our community needed. They decided to put their heads together and form a business plan; helping them with the startup were their oldest son, Jake; his fiancée, Meg; and their youngest son, Nate. They all helped in some way to make the business possible.
Their dream was realized at the 2008 Rotary Boat Show with the introduction of Panhandle Powerboats. They are excited to be Southeast Alaska's official dealer for C-Dory Marine Group, which includes all models of C-Dory, Skagit Orca, Tomcat, and C-Dory Venture lines. The fiberglass boats they're currently carrying are warmer and more fuel-efficient than their aluminum counterparts.
Perhaps owning a boat is not a part of your immediate future, but you still want to get out on the water. Check out their rental selection-they have the boat for your trip. Whatever the reason might be, fishing, sightseeing, or out for a cruise on a sunny afternoon, Panhandle Powerboats is the number to call!
