Courtesy photo "One Crazy Raven" by noted Tling't storyteller and actor Gene Tagaban will be performed in Angoon, Klukwan, Sitka, Kake and Klawok this month.
In his "One Crazy Raven" show, Tagaban blends commentary, comedy, story, laughter, insight, vision, spirit and honor. The show features song, dance, music and masks as Tagaban shares contemporary and traditional Native American stories. In celebration of Native wellness, he will add an inspiring message of health and positive life choices for this performance.
"Health is linked to all aspects of a person's daily choices and personal wellness ideals," said Martha Pearson, SEARHC WISEWOMAN Program Health Educator. Gene's programs emphasize the lessons one gains and how one learns to be a better person through stories. These lessons involve the role of humans in the natural world and the importance of family and lineage in one's own identity.
