Blessing of the Fleet annual ceremony held in Juneau
The annual Blessing of the Fleet ceremony was held Saturday, May 6, at the Alaska Commercial Fishermen's Memorial in Juneau. U.S. Coast Guard. Rear Adm. James Olson said the Coast Guard in Alaska rescued 43 fishermen but 15 lost their lives. The names of those 15 fishermen were read before the names from the memorial's wall were announced.
