Laurel Stevenson of Brownie Troop #26 watches as Steve Reese helps Daisy Girl Scout Meg Kurland test her sense of smell.
The troops met together Tuesday, May 2, as the kindergarten Daisies begin to bridge to become Brownies. Daisy Troop #19 was recently recognized in the USA Weekend magazine for their participation in "Make A Difference Day" on October 22. For this event, the girls visited Wildflower Court where they presented bouquets of the tissue paper flowers and recited rhymes for the residents' entertainment. Participating in "Make A Difference Day" helped the girls learn about being friendly and helpful, which is one part of the Girl Scout law. There are ten girls in Troop #19.
