SITKA - For their ability to save lives and maintain the health of their patients, the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium is pleased to honor the work of its nurses during National Nurses Week in May.
National Nurses Week is an annual event celebrated throughout the U.S. The annual event traditionally starts on May 6, National Nurses Day, and ends on May 12, the birthday of the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale. This year's theme, selected by the American Nurses Association, is "Nurses: Advocating, Leading, Caring."
SEARHC employs more than 120 registered nurses; licensed practical nurses; advanced nurse practitioners in family, pediatrics, women's health and adult specialties; and certified registered nurse anesthetists.
