SEARHC expects prescription delays from May 14-21
JUNEAU - The pharmacy at the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) Ethel Lund Medical Center will be undergoing an equipment upgrade during the week of May 14-21, and patients will experience some delays getting prescriptions refilled during that week.

This process will affect SEARHC's pharmacy in Juneau only. We are installing a ScriptPro Robotic Prescription Dispensing System, and the installation process and staff training will occur during this week. While the pharmacy will be open for regular business hours the week of May 14-21, patients may want to avoid getting prescription refills that week.

Once the ScriptPro machine is installed and in operation, patients will see shorter wait times and higher accuracy since all prescriptions now will have scanned bar codes. The automation system also will allow pharmacists to spend less time counting pills and more time working directly with patients.
