Perseverance Theatre's Second Stage, in conjunction with the University of Alaska Southeast's Chancellor's office, presents "Recent Tragic Events" by Craig Wright, at 7:30 p.m. May 4-7 at the university in the Hendrickson building, room 113. The production is directed by Perseverance Theatre Education Director David Charles Goyette, and is the culmination of the Acting II class taught by Flordelino Lagundino. It is September 12, 2001. "Recent Tragic Events" is a tale about an evening of pizza, drinking games, 9/11 media coverage and a missing twin.
Masterpieces for Mortals
Rick Trostel of Juneau and Nancy Nash of Haines will present a recital of trumpet and piano music at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, located at 10th and Glacier in Juneau. The musicians will be talking about their music and their playing throughout the concert in addition to playing and discussing parts of their program for various schools around Juneau during the week prior to the concerts. Full Circle Music Studio presents its annual recitals. The students of Mary DeSmet and Greg Burger perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 6, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 7 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. A reception follows and is open to all who wish to attend. Admission is free.
