Southeast Road Runner’s “Racing the Tide” spring tide scramble

Southeast Road Runner’s is having their annual “Racing the Tide” spring tide scramble on Saturday, May 5. Low tide is at 7:09 a.m. both races begin at 7:09 a.m.

• The first race starts at Fish Creek bridge parking lot (just beyond mile 8 on North Douglas Highway), 4 miles out and back across the Mendenhall wetlands mud run.

• The second race option is 7 miles up Fish Creek Trail, down Eaglecrest Road across the Mendenhall wetlands then back to the Fish Creek parking lot mountain and mud run.

Pre-register for $5 at Pavitt Health and Fitness, both JRC/The Alaska Club locations, the Nugget Alaskan Outfitter or on race day for $8 from 6:15-6:45 a.m. at the Fish Creek parking lot.
