Girl Scouts appreciate those who give time, gifts
In celebration of Girl Scout Leader's Day and Volunteer Recognition Week, the Tongass Alaska Girl Scout Council would like to publicly acknowledge the terrific contributions of our adult Girl Scout volunteers. With the help of over 400 wonderful women and men, TAGSC is able to serve over 800 girls in 14 communities throughout Southeast Alaska. Their gifts of time, talent, and creativity are what makes Girl Scouting happen.

Please join the TAGSC staff and Board of Directors in thanking the Girl Scout leaders and volunteers in your town. They are making a big difference in the lives of girls by helping provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where new interests are discovered, skills are learned, friendships are formed, and self-esteem grows. These valued leaders are committed to helping girls develop into responsible, caring adults who give back to our community.

As we celebrate the historic 95th anniversary of Girl Scouting this year, TAGSC is extremely proud to have so many dedicated volunteers continuing the great traditions of Girl Scouting, and expanding the program, in Southeast Alaska. Please let them know how much their efforts as leaders, mentors, and advisors are appreciated.

For information on becoming a Girl Scout volunteer, please call the council office at (907) 586-1710 or 1/800-478-8247.
