Valve maintenance to flush mineral sediment through resident water lines
City and Borough of Juneau
The CBJ Water Utility will be starting the mainline valve maintenance and flushing program.

This project began April 30, and will continue until the middle of June.

Work will start in downtown Juneau, proceed to Bartlett Regional Hospital, then Douglas Island, and eventually end in the Tee Harbor/Cohen Drive vicinity.

As mineral sediment is flushed from the lines, residents in the affected area may experience discolored water.

If this occurs, just run your cold water to help clear the line. Residents may also experience low water pressure while the City is in the area working.

The Water Utility thanks you in advance for your cooperation during this project.
