JUNEAU - The Alaska State Museum will offer docent training from May 4-8. In this four day training session, new volunteers are invited to join returning docents to learn the stories of objects in the collections, the museum's history and interpretive techniques. The museum needs 15 new volunteers to make the museum come to life for visitors by giving tours for the general public this summer. Behind-the-scenes collections room tours, seminar sessions, and informal talks with museum staff are included in this free workshop.
