City Museum offers Juneau history & culture workshops
Workshops on the history and culture of the Juneau area are offered yearly by the Juneau-Douglas City Museum. Call 586-3572 for details and to sign up.

• Juneau History: Juneau's local points of interest including bird and wildlife watching, historic sites in downtown Juneau and more. Instructor: Linda Daniel. Thursday, April 21, 6:30-9:pm or Saturday, May 7, 9-noon Fee: $26.25

• Introduction to Native Arts and Culture: Ways to buy authentic Native Alaskan arts and crafts; the appropriate ways to interpret Native Culture. Cosponsored by Sealaska Heritage Institute. Instructors Linda Daniel and Donald Gregory. Saturday, April 30, 9-noon. Fee: $26.25

• Special one-time presentation: Juneau Mining

Author and historian David Stone will host a discussion and a slide-show presentation on the hey-day of Juneau's three great hard rock mines. Sponsored by Greens Creek Mines. Thursday, May 5, 6:30-8:30 pm, Centennial Hall. $10 for Adults, $7 for Students and Seniors.
