"Rebuild Theatre In the Rough: A benefit,"

will be held at St. Ann's Parish Hall on Saturday, April 22, from 7-11 p.m. The evening features "The Complete Works of Theatre in the Rough: Abridged" --an original tongue-in-cheek compilation of TIR's 20 productions, since its founding. A silent auction --including a role in a TIR production -- and a massive dessert selection round out the experience. The event is alcohol-free, so all ages are welcome. Tickets are $10 at Rainy Day Books, Shoefly, and Skeins (in the valley's Airport Shopping Mall near the Amazing Bookstore) and also at the door.

The Alaska Lighthouse Association

is hosting a wine tasting and fundraiser at from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 21, at The Prospector. Cost is $25 and all proceeds go to the renovation of the Pt. Retreat Lighthouse. Tickets may be purchased from any association member, Hearthside Books or at the door.
