I am delightfully happy to announce my arrival home. I have been here for about two weeks and I am enjoying every minute!
Since being diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in October of 2006, I have gone through eight aggressive rounds of chemotherapy in Seattle. The next stage in my treatment will be to undergo maintenance chemotherapy for at least 18 months here in town. I am not so excited about undergoing chemo again, but if it keeps me cancer-free and healthy, I will do whatever it takes to be here in company of my family and our amazing community.
I have been blessed with the strength, support, and caring of so many of you. Throughout my experience with cancer, I have seen first-hand how many selfless and caring people are in my life. For coming together, I would like to express my gratitude to the entire community. Countless of you have helped my family and me a great deal by donating time, money, and encouragement. In addition, I am blessed to have received so many get-well notes, positive messages, and prayers.
My family and I thank you for all of your support and love.
