Extension moves to new office

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service district office is moving to a new location in downtown Juneau.

The office in the Bill Ray Center will close April 16 and reopen April 21 at its new location at 450 Whittier St., Suite 128.

in the Public Safety Building near the state museum. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cooperative Extension is part of an educational network supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and land grant universities. Agents Darren Snyder and Sarah Lewis are based in Juneau and offer programming to Juneau and other Southeast communities on gardening, 4-H, health, home energy, nutrition and food preservation, family finances and emergency preparedness.
