Kaila Buerger is a student at Juneau-Douglas High School who will be performing in the festival for the first time. She has played in talent shows since elementary school and said she is excited to start performing in front of larger audiences.

Kaila Buerger is a student at Juneau-Douglas High School who will be performing in the festival for the first time. She has played in talent shows since elementary school and said she is excited to start performing in front of larger audiences.
Buerger picked up the guitar about five years ago. The first song she wrote was for a school project, but after the assignment was completed she decided to continue. Many of her original songs reference past relationships, high school and life in general.
Many of Buerger's songs have been recorded and she said she hopes to release a CD in the future.
Buerger will perform at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
