Carl Reese is a singer/songwriter who describes his style as "kind of folk, sort of rockish with a touch of blues." He came to Alaska about five years ago and has been playing music for about twenty years.
"Music for me is a great way to reach out and do something that is creative and expressive," Reese said. "A good song evokes emotion. When I write a song, I try to appeal to the emotional side and make the listener feel something."
Reese said he plans to play new, original songs "that nobody's heard before." Besides folk festival, he can also be found performing at various locations including open mic, Concerts in the Park, and the Southeast Alaska State Fair in Haines.
Reese will perform at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
