Totem to Totem Half Marathon (13.1 Mile) to be held May 10: Sponsored by KRC. Start at Totem Bight State Park and finish at Rotary Beach (Bugge Beach). Race Fee: $30. Registration supports American Diabetes Association.

Registration race day begins at 7:45 AM. Start time is 9 AM for runners. Walkers may not start before 8 AM. Runners under 12 years are not allowed to run solo but can participate as a team.

Educational presentation on bear viewinig guidelines, hosted by JCVB, held April 10 from 5-8pm at the Hanger Ballroom. Laurie Craig and Doug Jones of the US Forest Service will share first-hand experiences with the bears at the glacier and offer information and tips on how you can educate your staff and customers about bear viewing guidelines. A question and answer period will follow.
