Council holds Earth Day Fair
The Central Council of Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska will hold the Juneau Earth Day Fair from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 15, Centennial Hall.

This event will be entertaining and educational for all ages. CCTHITA will have booths from more than 20 local, state and federal organizations, agencies and businesses, which support health and environmental awareness.

There will be games, prizes, handouts, music, videos, and guest speakers throughout the day.

"This year's Earth Day Fair will be a good opportunity to learn about our local environment as well as provide a good time for people and organizations to network and discuss our local environmental concerns," said Mitch Brooks, CCTHITA environmental technician.

"And for all of the parents out there this is a great time to get your children interested and involved in environmental awareness.

"The youth today are going to be the next generation of environmental leaders."

Opportunities for involvement are still available by getting organizations involved. Individuals are also welcome to participate.
