Alaskan artists are invited to submit work inspired by Alaskan migratory birds for the Alaska Hummingbird Festival 2006. Cash prizes given for Best of Show, first place and honorable mention in both the adult and juvenile (17 & under) divisions. "Musings: the Soul of Landscape" will be open for display April 7, by local artist James Mix. Refreshments and mingling from 5-7 p.m. at the Mainstay Gallery, 716 Totem Way in Ketchikan. The exhibit continues through April 28.
Boom Town: Ketchikan in the 1950s
