Lemonade Day teaches kids about business

JUNEAU - Lemonade Day is a nation-wide event that teaches kids the skills they need to be successful in the future. Youth learn to set goals, develop a business plan, establish a budget, seek investors, provide customer service and give back to the community. Lemonade Day is the perfect opportunity for a community to show kids they care and train the next generation of entrepreneurs through a free, fun, engaging and experiential activity.

Youth of all ages, pre-Kindergarten through high school, can participate at no cost. Youth put their new knowledge and skills to work when they open for business on May 6th, with their very own lemonade stand.

The registration event will be held on April 14 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Juneau Southeast Conference Office, 612 West Willoughby Avenue.For more information call: 523-4353 or visit www.alaska.lemonadeday.org/.
