Alaska Folk Festival

The 33rd annual Alaska Folk Festival will be held April 9-15, at Centennial Hall in Juneau. Guest artist Carolina Chocolate Drops will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, and at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 15. For information, call 463-3316 or go online to akfolkfest.org.

The Family Grind

Juneau's second annual folkless grind will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the VFW Hall. cost is $5 or free if you bring a dessert to share.

The Who's 'Tommy'

Showing at Perseverance Theatre through April 22, the music of The Who comes to life in the story of a young boy's transformation into a pinball champion. Company member Rory Merritt Stitt and the band from Perseverance's productions of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" and "Hair" rock out in Pete Townshend's stage version of this opera.
