Shaolin Chi Kung lecture and seminar offered

JUNEAU - One of five authorized Shaolin Wahnam Chi Kung instructors in the United States, Master Anthony Spinicchia, will offer a seminar and a public lecture in Juneau this weekend. Spinicchia will instruct people on how to practice Chi Kung for better overall health, increased energy, and overcoming chronic illness.

Chi Kung is a simple, gentle practice with powerful results; practitioners say that people of all ages and abilities can benefit from a 15 minute daily practice. Current students in Alaska include athletes, senior citizens, fishermen, nurses, martial artists, carpenters, yoga students and more.

Spinicchia will give a public lecture on "The Incredible World of Chi Kung" at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 3 at Taproots Yoga Center at 2211 Dunn St. The lecture is free and open to the public. He will give a workshop on April 4 from 12:30-8 p.m. with a ninety minute break at 3:30 pm. The workshop costs $300 per person or $500 for a couple.

For more information or to register for the workshop, visit www.chikungjuneau.com or call 747-5063.
