JUNEAU - A Men's Health Forum will be held from 4:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1 at Juneau's Centennial Hall.
The forum will feature Dr. Paul Topol, a psychiatrist with Bartlett Regional Hospital, speaking on "How stress and anxiety impact chronic disease." Topol will discuss the affect mood disorders such as depression can have on health; the causes of these mood disorders; and the latest and most effective treatments available.
Following Topol's presentation, representatives from the Providence Cancer Center will give a presentation on cancer diagnostics and treatments available in Juneau, followed by a question and answer session.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and healthy snacks and health information will be provided. Topol's speech begins at 5 p.m. and the Providence Cancer Center presentation begins at 6 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Women are encouraged to attend.
