Letter to the Editor
Open letter to Juneau from Taku Post 5559 Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Juneau Southeast Chapter 4 Disabled American Veterans and Auke Bay Post 25 American Legion.

In an effort to avoid any misunderstanding about the local "Veterans for Peace" movement, or whatever political agenda that group seeks to promote in the Capital City, let it be hereby known Taku Post 5559 Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Juneau Southeast Chapter 4 Disabled American Veterans and Auke Bay Post 25 American Legion are in no way associated with, do not endorse, condone or support the "Veterans for Peace" political agenda, or any activity which opposes the principles of justice, freedom, democracy, or the obligation undertaken by every American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and VFW Member to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. These organizations respect the rights of every American, including their members, to exercise free speech, but do not as organizations assume any partisan position on political issues.
