History grants available for study of Juneau's past
Have you ever wanted to look into the history of Juneau's red-light district? Does the local mining history fascinate you? Maybe your interests lie in the preservation of individual oral stories of Alaskan residents. Now is your chance: Applications are now available for the 2005-2006 Juneau History Grant.

Students, teachers, organizations and individuals of all ages are encouraged to apply for up to $1,000 to assist them in the completion of a project that will document, preserve or improve access to the history of the greater Juneau area.

Application are due to the City Museum on or before 4:00 pm on May 16, 2005. Funded project are to be completed by May 2, 2006.
