Gallery of the North adds new artists

The Gallery of the North is proud to add three new artists to the gallery. Brenda Stearns from Juneau paints landscapes in water color; Libby Stortz from Fairbanks paints landscapes using gouache; and Katie Sevigny from Anchorage paints varied subjects using water colors on crystal paper. Please drop by and see the works of these amazing artists.

Elgee Rehfeld Mertz hires accountants

Elgee Rehfeld Mertz CPAs welcomes Judy Cummins, recently from Wilmington, DE (where she worked for the firm Horty and Horty). Judy has a degree in Accounting and has passed all sections of the CPA exam. Sarah Anderson, with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, emphasis in Accounting, was also hired. Sarah holds an Associate of Art degree and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Interpreting/Deafness.

State Museum will hold photo contest

The Alaska State Museum is seeking photographic entries for Alaska Positive 2008, the museum's biennial exhibition of Alaska photography. Deadline for entries is April 9. Entry forms are available online at www.museums.state.ak.us.
