KETCHIKAN - No bids were submitted for the former offices of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough. About 20 people attended last week's auction but there were no takers for the Reid Building. Borough officials vacated the building last month for new digs in the renovated White Cliff building. The borough had set the minimum bid for the Reid Building at $517,700, the assessed value for a structure the borough says has structural and mechanical problems. Now the borough will turn to a sealed bid process.
