JUNEAU - Two new local musical groups will be featured at the Canvas during this month's Third Friday event on Friday, March 20 from 7-9 p.m. Pie in the Sky will open at 6:30 p.m. with hot drinks and treats for purchase before and during the show
Maybe It's Reno, featuring George Kuhar and Bridget Cross will perform beginning at 7 p.m. Bridget Cross migrated to Juneau from Washington DC after having played with indie pioneers such as Velocity Girl, Unrest and Air Miami. George Kuhar migrated to Juneau from Austin TX after having played with the rockabilly soul power trio Basin Street. Maybe It's Reno is the convergence of these diverse musical streams.
Cayenne Blue features James Bibb on bass, Kelly Henriksen on percussion, Nancy Lehnhart with harmony vocals, songwriter Martha DeFreest and, behind the scenes, sound engineer Mark Lukey.
