Wilderness medicine classes in SitkaSE Alaska Regional Helath Corp. EEis sponsoring an intensive backcountry medical training course in Sitka, AK from April 14- 24. This 54-hour, hands-on Wilderness EMT Upgrade course will enable students to deal with medical emergencies when they are miles away from help and dialing 911 is not an option. This is definitive medical training course for all rural EMS providers and wilderness rescue team members. Graduates will receive WEMT certification by Wilderness Medical Associates, valid for three years and continuing education credit has been approved for full continuing education credit by CECBEMS.
