The Skagway Panthers girls basketball team celebrates their 2A Region V Championship Friday night at the JDHS gymnasium.

The Klawock Chieftans won the 2A Region V championship in Juneau Friday night over Skagway and will be the number one seed from Southeast at the state tournament.

Hydaburg's Cayden Carle, 23, scores on a jumpshot against Angoon during opening action of the tournament. Hydaburg eventually won the second seed to the state tournament next week.
