Academy activities will include training in basic carpentry skills, construction math, safety training, First-Aid/CPR and Power Actuated Tools certification. Participants will receive information about apprenticeship careers, discussions with community role models regarding construction careers and hands-on construction training. Students who successfully complete the academy will be eligible for further apprenticeship training with the Alaska Works Partnership.
