Poetry Omnibus contest winners announced

JUNEAU - The winning poems from the recent Poetry OmniBus competition have been selected and will be posted inside Capital Transit System buses in mid-March. Writers will read their winning poems at a reception on Saturday, March 14 at 7 p.m. at the downtown library. All are invited to come and listen to local writers read their original poems

In the youth category, for grades 5 through 12, the winning authors are Isaiah Carandang, Teresa Cunan, George Grummett, Ryan Lee, Bradley Peterson, Fernando Pintang, Erika Sangster and Abby Sheakley.

In the adult category, the winning authors are Jerry Adams, Bob Fagen, John Krumm, Mary Ann Slemmons, Tim Spengler and Richard Stokes.

All submissions will be published in the Poetry OmniBus journal, which will be available to read at all four Juneau libraries.
