'Translation"

The story of a 31-year-old woman's strange journey toward herself written by Sarah Brooks, performed by Chelsea Rohweder and directed by John Leo. The show is at 7:30 p.m. March 9-11 and ,16-18, at Perseverance Theatre's Phoenix Stage. The show is about Celia Geering, 31 and overwhelmed by society's pressured questions, journeys from Juneau to the Midwest for her grandmother's funeral. Along the way, a series of surreal events - at turns hilarious and poignant - tilt a mirror for Celia, showing her herself as a new kind of woman, fueled but not formed by her German-American grandmother's forceful love.

"Terra Nova"

This show is presented by First City Players of Ketchikan. Ted Tally's award-winning play comes to life on the Kayhi stage March 2-3 and 8-9. In late 1911, five Englishmen and five Norwegians raced to be first to the South Pole.Call 225-4792 for information.

Samarabalouf!

The music trio will be performing at 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 12, as a benefit for Congregation Sukkat Shalom, located at Cordova and Foster Streets in West Juneau. Steppin' Out '07

Returning to the Ted Ferry Civic Center on Saturday, March 24, the Ketchikan Community Chorus and Lush Life present an evening of jazz favorites and "Made In America," an American Pop medley featuring your friends and neighbors.
