Photo: UAS Polar Bear Plunge
It was a gorgeous, sunny day on Saturday, Feb. 23, and warm enough for a jump into the chilly waters of Auke Bay. About 30 brave souls from the University of Alaska Southeast, including students, faculty and staff, took part in the 20th annual Polar Bear Plunge. After such an early-afternoon refreshment, the plungers indulged in a barbecue back on campus.
