Film Series

Juneau People for Peace and Justice will be showing four films in the weeks leading up to the fourth anniversary of the United States invasion of Iraq on March 19. Showing Monday, Feb. 26, is "What I've Learned About US Foreign Policy: The War Against the Third World," a video compilation about CIA covert operations and US military interventions since WWII. On Monday, March 5, showing is "The Ground Truth," the stories of veterans in Iraq. On Monday, March 12, showing is "The War Tapes," a documentary consisting of the film diaries of soldiers on the ground in Iraq. All films will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Goldtown Nickelodeon downtown Juneau in the Emporium Mall. All shows are free. Donations will be accepted. For more information call Amy at 586-4409.
