SITKA - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) WISEWOMAN program, Sitka Community Hospital and Sitka Tribe of Alaska are teaming up to host a series of noon lunch-and-learn events in Sitka in honor of American Heart Month in February.
The noon lunch-and-learn events and their topics are:
• Feb. 12: Honoring the Gift of Heart Health. Held at Sitka Tribe of Alaska, 456 Katlian, upstairs.
• Feb. 17: Heart-health talk by Danna-Ben Seeland, followed by a talk on "The Importance of Exercise" by Emily Petru-Davis of The Studio. Held at the Sitka Community Hospital classroom.
• Feb. 24: "Getting More from Your Physical Activity" discussion led by personal trainer Martha Pearson. Held at SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital, Litehouse Conference Room C.
