KLAWOCK - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium Alicia Roberts Medical Center (ARMC) in Klawock recently added Diane Hill, RN, PA-C, to its medical staff. In addition to providing physician assistant services at ARMC, Hill will have regular office hours at the SEARHC Thorne Bay Health Center.
Hill is a long-time Alaskan who earned an associate's degree in nursing from Anchorage Community College (now part of the University of Alaska Anchorage). She completed her physician assistant certification training and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general studies from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, N.D. Before moving to Prince of Wales Island, Hill spent 25 years at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, including the last 20 years as an emergency room nurse.
Hill is certified as a physician assistant by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. She also is a registered nurse and she holds a certified emergency nurse credential from the Emergency Nurses Association. She served as a certified sexual assault nurse examiner in 1996-2005.
